Inter-Fractional Group
for protection of abused constitutional rights of the citizens and
against political repression

 

 

 

The aim of Interfractional Association “For the Protection of Violated Rights of Citizens and Against Political Repression “Forbidden to Forbid” is to reveal, examine and prevent violations of the Constitution of Ukraine, laws of Ukraine and international obligations of Ukraine, that are currently evident in the following forms:

  • political discrimination,
  • use of law enforcement authorities for the purposes of political strife,
  • use of administrative resource for fighting political rivals,
  • persecution and political discrimination against the leaders of political parties and MPs at different levels using complex schemes designed outside current legal framework with the participation of the Verkhovna Rada officials, law enforcement authorities and local state administration,
  • electoral and other rights abuse of internally displaced persons from the zone of anti-terrorist operation,
  • religious discrimination,
  • intervention of law enforcement authorities  and unidentified militia in inter-church disputes,
  • extra-judicial persecution on political and other grounds,
  • violation of constitutional rights of Ukrainian citizens in connection with the introduction, passage and practical application of the Law “On Government Cleansing”,
  • abuse of the right for freedom of speech and freedom of thought.

Using all lawful ways, the Interfractional Association “For the Protection of Violated Rights of Citizens and Against Political Repression “Forbidden to Forbid” will in promote the re-assertion of abused constitutional rights of the Ukrainian citizens.

Moreover, we plan to engage the general public, local and international human rights organisations in the extensive coverage of the activities of the Interfractional Association “For the Protection of Violated Rights of Citizens and Against Political Repression “Forbidden to Forbid”. We also plan to establish an additional public council with the participation of interested experts and professionals.
